From the Top Gear studio to the Goodwood Revival and Festival of Speed, a champagne balloon ride to a stroll through the delightful Ramster Gardens: with so much to see and do on our doorstep, you won’t get bored. In case you’re stuck for inspiration, we’ve picked out a few highlights.

There are an abundance of golf courses in the area, including the championship courses at Wentworth and Sunningdale — little more than a half-hour drive away. If you want something a bit more low key and local, then Chiddingfold has a pretty, rural, pay and play course or there is the award-winning Cowdray Park club, nearby, set amidst the South Downs National Park.

Why not watch some polo at the Cowdray Park Polo Club, home of British Polo and venue for the Gold Cup. There is excellent fishing on the River Rother at the Cowdray Estate near Midhurst. Individuals to small groups to corporate fishing days can be catered for. Whether you’re a novice or a bit of a hot shot, the local Cowdray Park Estate offers options from clay pigeon shooting through to a simulated game shoot. Again, corporate days can be arranged.

Just a few miles away, is the National Trust’s Winkworth Arboretum – well worth a visit. We are also privileged to have one of the world’s finest gardens, RHS Wisley, within easy reach.

Escape to Petworth House, landscaped by Capability Brown and immortalised by Turner.
